Assalamualaikum.. Hello everyone. Welcome back to my blog, so today I got an assignment about Song, so..let's do it well. But, before I show my assignments which are divided into several parts. First, I want to show you the explanation of song.
SONG
Song is a composition of tone or voice in sequence, combination and temporal relation to produce a musical composition that has unity and continuity.
THE PURPOSE OF SONG
1. To entertain the listeners.
2. To teach moral value through the lyrics of the songs.
3. To give someone to not only shares their emotions with others, but also to have an emotional connection that just can't be experienced in any other way.
4. To provide a way of managing the relationship between our public and private emotional life.
5. To express personal feeling and cultural values.
THE LANGUAGE FEATURES OF SONG
1. Figurative Language : The use of words, phrase or sentence to beautify or sometimes to hide the meaning.
2. Denotation : The real meaning.
3. Connotation : The hidden meaning.
4. Rhyme : A repetition of similar sounds.
5. Imagery : Using language to create images in the reader's mind.
6. Figures of Speech.
THE GENERIC STRUCTURES OF SONG
1. Intro. The introduction establishes melodic, harmonic, and/or rhythmic related to the main body of song.
2. Verse. A series of lyrics that tell the main story of the song and keep the action or thoughts moving forward.
3. Pre-Chorus. Is much less common the chorus but you will run into one occasion.
4. Refrain/Chorus. Meant to be the most memorable part, containing the ultimate message of the piece.
5. Bridge. A passage of music that contrasts the verse and the chorus, and is generally used to take the listener from one section to the next.
6. Coda/Outro. This is the end of the road for the song.

FIGURES OF SPEECH IN SONG
1. Metaphor. Comparing two things that are not alike to suggest that they actually have something in common.

4. Personification. An object appear like a person.
